Our chapter was chartered by the FMCA on May 29, 2004.

Our purpose is to fellowship and pray and sing songs to worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God has a Purpose for your future that He has designed you for that no one else can do. Come share your Purpose with us.

Hi Everyone,

One again, the G.L.A.S.S. Rally is approaching and we have a few things we need to prepare before the rally takes place.  The GLASS Rally officially starts on Thursday May 27th and ends about Noon on Memorial Day, Monday, May 31st 2010.  However, many of us arrive by Wednesday afternoon May 26th.

1. Each year, we have been giving the Vendors at the GLASS Rally free cold bottles of water on Thursday, Friday and Saturday afternoons.  As before, George Abbott will arrange to purchase the water and he will have the water bottles iced down in the large cooler on wheels for someone to deliver the water.  So, we are looking for several persons to volunteer to deliver the water to the Vendors in the Vendor buildings.  Please contact me as soon as possible if you wish to volunteer to deliver the water to the Vendors.

2. As before, we will have our potluck supper gathering on Wednesday evening, about 5:30 p.m. at the picnic tables across from the food concessions.  A topic of discussion at that time will be candidates for the open positions of President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer of the Coaches For Christ Great Lakes Chapter.  We will also discuss converting our Chapter to an Associate Chapter as  supposedly this removes the requirement for Coaches For Christ to have 2 or more rallies per year.  It also eliminates the need for having to elect a National and Alternate National Director.  This will eliminate FMCA threats to cancel our chapterhood for not having enough meetings per year or dropping below 15 members.  An Associate Chapter can drop as low as 7 members.  I will have more information to show you at the potluck supper.

3. Each morning, Thursday through Saturday, we will conduct our services at 7:00 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. in Building #35.

4. After the Saturday services we will have our Annual Meeting.  Hopefully, we will vote on if we should change to an Associate Chapter of the FMCA.  We will elect the President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer to serve for the next 2 years.  If we do not vote to change to an Associate Chapter, we will also have to elect a National Director and an Alternate National Director.  Please seriously consider stepping forward to fill one of these open positions.  The newly elected officials will take over right after the Annual Meeting.

If you haven’t sent in your Registration for GLASS, you can download and print it from http://www.glassrally.org/FMCAad10.pdf

If you don’t have the free Acrobat Reader, go to www.GLASSRally.org and scroll down to option 3 for a Registration form that doesn’t require the free Acrobat Reader.  You can print it to fill out and send in.

Jean and I are really looking forward to seeing you all at GLASS again this year.

     God Bless,

Jerry Wessel – President, Coaches For Christ Great Lakes
