September 2011 - Midland MI Rally
The September Michigan Knights of the Highway rally will be September 16, 17, 18 2011 at the Midland County Fairgrounds, (GPS) 6905 Eastman Avenue - Midland, Michigan.

Directions:
From Detroit/Flint take I-75 north to US-10
West. Travel about 17 miles west on US-10 to Eastman Avenue exit. Exit on
Eastman Avenue, turn right (north) and the entrance to the fairgrounds will be
on your left a
few hundred yards up, just before Applebee's, and across from Pet Smart.
From Lansing take US-127 north to M-20 East (Mt. Pleasant). About 25 miles
east on M-20 to Indian St. Turn left (north) on Indian, which becomes Eastman
Avenue in about 1/4 mile. Travel approximately 3 miles north on Eastman, pass
under US-10, and on your left a few hundred yards up, just before Applebee's, and across from Pet Smart is the fairground entrance.
From the north country, take US-127 south to US-10 East. Follow US-10
about 29 miles to the Eastman Avenue exit, turn north on Eastman, and the
fairgrounds will be on your left a few hundred yards up, just before Applebee's, and across from Pet Smart.
Early Arrival
- The rally fee covers camping for the nights of September 16, 17, 18 2011. If you
plan to come in on Wednesday or Thursday, the cost is $17 per night. Sunday night
$17. If you come before Thursday or stay late, the Michigan Knights of the
Highway are not responsible for any damages or injuries you may experience.
If you arrive before Thursday, the parking crew may have to relocate you on
Thursday.
Local Events:
There will be a Balloon Festival at the Fairgrounds during this
rally.

8:00 am - 9:30 am - Coffee and fellowship with First Timers
9:00 am 11:00 am - Elections
12:30 pm General Meeting with GLASS Meeting immediately after
5:00 pm - Catered Dinner Pot Roast, Baked Chicken, Red-skinned Potatoes, Green Bean Casserole, Salads,
Beverages, Cake.
6:00 pm Lift Off of Balloons and Afterglow at Dusk
8:00 pm - Drawing with James & Linda Thompson - MUST be present to win.
Sun, Sept 18 7:30 am Lift Off of Balloons weather permitting
8:00 - 9:00 am - Coffee and Donuts
9:15 am - Singspiration with Jerry Wessel

Alternate activities will be suggested if weather isnt cooperative.
Balloon flights are fair, calm weather activities.
